Laffans Triethanolamine passes ISI, US pharmacopoeia and EU pharmacopoeia specifications. It is used as a soft base for neutralization and does not have a corrosive effect on skin. Due to this property, it finds applications in number of areas.
Applications
Due to non corrosive nature of laffans Triethanolamine, it finds applications in personal care product, textiles, leather, lubricants and break fluids.
Personal Care Products
Laffans Triethanolamine is used to perpare soap of stearic and oleic acids. It's stearate soap is used in hand lotions, cosmetic creams, cleansing creams, shaving creams and shampoos.
Its oleate soap has good detergency properties and is used in laundry detergents and dry cleaning
Textiles
Oleic acid soap of Laffans Triethanolamine is used in cleaning and scouring textiles.
Stearic and Oleic acid soaps can be combined with castor oil and used as textile lubricant.
Leather
Laffans Triethanolamine is used for cleaning of leather and for lubriacation.
Lubricants and Brake Fluids
Laffans Triethanolamine is used for adjustment and maintanence of pH in various lubricants and brake fluids.
