Introduction

Laffonics MB series of Ethoxylates are of Lauryl Alcohol Ethylene Oxide type that are effective in various industrial and household applications.

These products, due to their non-electrolyte nature are stable in acid, alkali medium and are compatible with other Ethoxylates (Anionic, Cationic, Quaternary and Amphoteric).

These MB series products are excellent emulsifiers and exhibit high detergency. The product range in this MB series is wide as the two basic constituents viz. Lauryl Alcohol and Ethylene Oxide are varied in their molar ratios to give a range of an MB series adducts with different HLB values. The lower mole adducts - 2 & 2.5 moles are used to prepare SLES, which has wide range of applications. Slightly higher moles have good wetting power. Above 6 moles - are excellent detergents. Higher moles are very good emulsifiers.

Laffonics XPG 30, XPG 40, XPG 50, XPG 60, XPG 70, XPG 80 & XPG 90 are cloudy liquids at room temperature, and they tend to form sediment.

Laffonics XPG 100 &XPG 140 are soft, colourless or slightly yellowish pastes at 23 degree Cen. They become clear at 50 degree Cen.

Laffonics XPG are nonionic type and can be combined with anionic , cationic and other noionic Ethoxylates and auxiliaries. They are fully compatible with alkylaryl sulphonates, ether sulphates, and other sulphonated products. This enables synergistic effects and very high level of performance to be obtained. The main area of application is in detergents and cleaners for household, Industrial and Institutional use.
